Today I am thrilled to be sharing Vanessa and Nathan’s Cayman National Gallery wedding on their 1/2 year anniversary.
The National Gallery is a beautiful venue and had worked photographed several events there before but Nathan and Vanessa’s wedding was my first at the venue.
Vanessa and Nathan met many years ago through mutual friends and became really good friends which led into love.
Last year on her 29th birthday Nathan popped the big question. Vanessa recounts: “I invited a few of my closest friends and family to join us for brunch at the Westin. During the brunch, his sister suggested that everyone take turns to say something nice to/about me or simply wish me a happy birthday. At this point I still hadn’t realized it was done in a way in which the last person to speak would be Nathan…once it was his turn, that’s when all my dreams came true. He asked me to marry him! To top things off he had planned a surprise birthday/ engagement party immediately after brunch at nearby lounge where I was greeted by surprise by even more friends and family! I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect 29th birthday.”
I also ask Vanessa what her favourite moment of the Cayman National Gallery Wedding was.
She repleid: “Oh my, there were so many favorite moments from the wedding. But our top moments were definitely when we said our “I do’s” and had our first kiss. That feeling still gives us chills and butterflies ! The other moments were loved was our first dance/ dance with the parents. During our first dance it felt like it was only us in that garden having our special moment- so amazing! My dances with my parents were also extra special to me, as we’ve been through so much heartache over the last few years with losing my younger brother and just to have those moments with each of them and to feel my brother’s presence their with us can’t be expressed by words.”
Vanessa and Nathan’s wedding was the most wonderful celebration of love and family in a beautiful setting. I loved that we had allowed for time for sunset images after the ceremony with just Vanessa and Nathan on the beach. A beautiful alternative to a First Look.
