Top 5 Grand Cayman Family Portrait Locations
Here is a list of my Top 5 Grand Cayman Family Portrait Locations. As you can imagine most of my favourite locations are either on the water or very close to it. The Caribbean Sea makes a beautiful backdrop for any Cayman photography session.
YOUR VILLA or CONDO
You may wonder why your rental villa or condo is on the top of my list. It mainly made it on the top of the list for convenience. Organising especially a larger group of people and trying to get everyone ready in time for a family session can be tricky. If you add traveling to a different location into the mix things can get complicated.
Therefore doing your family portrait session right by your villa or condo is perfect. Your accommodation is probably already on one of our wonderful beaches. Most of the villas are actually on a secluded beach.
SURFER’S BEACH
Surfer’s Beach is a beautiful public beach in the district of South Sound right next to the Community Center. As the name suggests it is a local hangout for surfers. I love the beach as it is a little rough around the edges, with wild waters and some great palm trees.
WEST BAY PUBLIC BEACH
Another favourite Family Portrait Location spot is West Bay Public Beach. On the top end of Seven Mile Beach it has a picturesque dock, some colour buildings and beautiful trees. A great variety for fantastic images. It is also a wonderful location to catch the sunset.
SMITH COVE
Also in South Sound, the next photography location on Grand Cayman is Smith Cove. The little beach is very popular with locals and tourists alike. A combination of white sandy beach, iron shore and many native trees makes for a wonderful location adding variety to your images.
CAMANA BAY
The last of my Top 5 Grand Cayman Family Portrait Locations is Camana Bay. Life blossoms at Camana Bay and the beautifully landscaped gardens and waterfront is perfect for a family session. With it’s many shady spots, Camana Bay is a great spot for a daytime family session. Shade makes for beautiful even lighting.
